About Us

ExchangeAble E-Club of Alabama

ExchangeAble E-Club of Alabama is designed to be a traditional Exchange Club, part of the National Exchange Club (www.nationalexchangeclub.org), that leads with its national service project-the prevention of child abuse as well as a focus on community service, youth projects and Americanism. The club will be Alabama's first online Exchange Club and invites new members to join who were former Junior Excel, Excel or Collegiate Exchange Club members and sponsors and any community members who wish to make a difference by serving others.

A Tradition of Service

We know that there are a number of service and civic clubs you can join.  Why not think about being a part of a dynamic service club that meets online to accommodate your busy life, creates and participates in common service projects each month, has interesting and informative speakers, and  gathers at Alabama District Exchange Club conferences and conventions as well as at the National Exchange Club convention each summer for professional growth and networking? The first Exchange Club was started in 1911 in Detroit, MI as a venue to exchange ideas about improving local businesses and the surrounding community. Exchange Clubs  are  part  of the oldest civic club in America.

Vibrant and Rewarding Service Projects

Exchange Club service projects focus on four areas. Our national project is the prevention of child abuse and includes diverse projects such as operation and funding of local Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Centers in Alabama communities. The second program of service includes community service projects, such as starting Alabama's first public television station (first also in the United States), sponsoring the building of Alabama's first airport runways and more. The third program of service is centered on youth projects, while the fourth area of service includes Americanism and the promotion of patriotic events in the community, such as sponsoring Law Enforcement, Firefighter and First Responder Awards each year, sponsoring Field of Valor Flag Fields honoring our veterans and the unique "Give-a-Kid-a-Flag " program for children.
